Summer Adventures Day 3; Sunday June 9th @ Capitola, CA

Early morning fossil hunting adventure turns us 2 million year old Mitrella and cetacean fossils, beach combing reveals our first ever Pandora and Appleseed Erato Snail (Erato vitellina), and classic car show in Capitola, stair workout and return home to relax.

Summer Adventures Day 2; Saturday June 8th

We had an early morning coffee to get going and then went on our Pleasure Point beach walk revealed huge south swell creating a great swell for surfers; we really like our early morning walks prior to workout; We found a beautiful uncommon ribbed brachiopod (Terebratalia transversa ribbed variant) & the small razor clam-looking Adula falcata, along with many other species including Hiatella, Calliostoma caniculatum, Acanthina, Bittium eschrihtii, Ceratostoma foliatum, Diodora aspera, Nucella emarginata, Collisella pelta, the isopod Traskorchestia traskiana (sand flea), Pododesmus jingle. Afterwards we went for a run on the beach at Pleasure Point. Later for lunch we had a double birthday celebration for Wayne's long-time friends Ray Hsu & Gary Montalvo, with Dave Akawi. Jean-Luc created a magnificent BBQ lunch for us.
